Lemmy as a whole is very pro-valve to the point I think some of them want to fuck the CEO. It stands in stark contrast with Lemmy’s general anti-billionaire vibe. “He’s one of the good ones” or, in my more extreme exaggerated version, “man I want to lick that guy’s feet”.
Admittedly if you’re not in the gaming sublemmits it won’t make that much sense. But lemmy is generally very anti-yacht-owner so the sycophants stand out.
Aha, yeah the ”Gaben” fetishism and absolute support Valve gets in some cliques has always irked me. Not that I don’t see the merit in a lot of their product philosophies (e.g. Linux support)
