Sometimes when I’m bored I’ll open up YouTube on my TV (yeah I know, smart TV bad, sue me) and search for latest movie trailers. I’d always look for the official studio channels to avoid the stupid fakes. But I swear lately it’s gotten to be like a fucking plague drowning out the actual real trailers. I’ve stopped bothering.

    So good. Fuck 'em.

People who are “smart TV bad” need to start telling me where tf they’re getting their dumb tvs at. Because I’ve tried looking. Monitors vs TVs are “dumb” devices, but they don’t make 65inch monitor that isn’t also a car loan…

That’s how expensive they actually are. Your smart tv is subsidized by the adverts they’re gonna sell on it. No one really wants to give up the opportunity to pipe you ads for the lifetime of your TV.

        But…

It looks like Sceptre makes one? The U650CV-UMS.

It does look sold out everywhere, but maybe they’ll make more or you can find one like new.

I agree, but you van still not connect them to the interned and have a Linux or android streaming box that you have control over as your main interface. Much better experience!

Which is a great example of why they’re doing this, if viewers can’t be bothered wading through the slop to find what they came for, they will simply give up.

What’s wrong with fake trailers as long as they’re marketed as such? I find them often very creative and fun to watch, when people reinterpret some movie by redoing a trailer differently.

According to the article, these were NOT marked as such, they were being passed off as real trailers. And it says one channel produced 23 trailers for a single movie.

Truly. If I had three wishes it would be that the downvote button was just the “this is a bad post” button and wasn’t also the “I disagree” button, that people wouldn’t groupthink-dogpile likes/dislikes, and for a massive cock.

Unfortunately I’m also often part of the problem with all of those.

          Except for the cock.

Also I think AI sucks. Fake trailers are fine though.

Isn’t this about fake trailers for movies that do not exist? It’s not reinterpreting art, it’s producing slop and trying to bait people into giving you views.
