It looks already past the statute of limitations for the UK, given that they apparently the have a 1yr. time limit for defamation.
Either way it’s a slam dunk for the defense IMO. He became President despite the video so it couldn’t have hurt him in any meaningful way. The plaintiff would also have to demonstrate that the editing, outside of all the other shit he’s done, did measurable damage to his brand.
It’s a SLAPP suit. Just more retaliation and victim narrative.
The judge should toss the case just on the absurdity of the amount of money he’s asking for.
