Online I found this egg for 23 euros. I then visited several sex shops asking for vibrating eggs like that one. On the first one they showed me this one for 130 euros. They insisted is waterproof according to IPX7 and that cheaper models are won’t bring me to orgasm.
Is the second model 6 times better than the first one? I never expected a sex toy to be this expensive.
At another sex shop they offered this which can be bought directly from the manufacturer for 50 euros, but in this sex shop was valued at 90 euros, which is an insane markup.

I don’t know if I should only buy ‘brand’ vibrators or simply trust amazon reviews and buy the cheapest one for 23 euros. Other reviews about the most expensive models over 100 euros indicate some customers are unhappy with the product, considering the price. Neither do I know what brands are reputable ones, if any, because I cannot give back a thing like this if I don’t like it.

Some of the brands I checked sell g-spot vibrators and p-spot vibrators as well. Is the silicone used in anal toys different than the one used for vaginal toys? I was thinking about what others said about disinfecting anal toys thoroughly.
What do you think about this toy? Because it’s long and flexible I can insert it as deep as I want but it’s not rigid so it may not press against my g spot like the c shaped egg vibrators we mentioned. This particular model has a 1.5mm mono audio jack but no raised silicone nipple to charge.
So the other commenter has all the good deets on the silicone. They don’t advertise the raised charger nipple thing, it’s just a trait of the 1.5mm jack construction.
As for design, these classic style corded eggs are pretty fantastic, especially for under clothes use. One of the consistent features we found was that they’re notably gerthier than you expect from the image, this makes for consistent pressure but can be uncomfortable if you’re not used to the size.

I’ve only seen online pictures, but it seems the c shaped toys are completely enclosed in a silicone coating, with no fissures whereas the corded one has visible lines where the different parts assembly as in the picture attached, next to the bullets.

In the lot we tested, most of those seams were just junctions in the mould used to coat them and didn’t actually have any depth. They may take a little extra attention while scrubbing but they weren’t deep enough to be a hazard. Also most had some form of sturdy cordage inside the silicone cord to reinforce the wires in the case of pulling.
In one particular case, my ~55kg tester hung one of the sturdier models from a pull up bar and picked herself up with it. There were also a lot if nunchuck stunts lol. While most won’t hold up to that level of stress, they’re more than adequate for the grip strength of human orifices. A caveat to that, if you’re worried about size or ease of retrieval anally you can start with guaging plugs. Similar to normal butt plugs they come in sets of 3-12 and have progressively wider diameters. This aclimated the body to a wider stretch.
For those with worries about anal incontinence from guaging, understand that the human anal muscles engage in both directions. So long as you’re giving your body time to aclimate to the new size, you will actually gain muscle control and strength from this process. if this corded model is completely coated in silicone with only superficial seams and is waterproof, my next question is about batteries:
I own an older vibrator powered by 4 AAA retrievable batteries, which is very convenient, because if the batteries stop charging after 3 years of use, all I need to do is change the batteries for the device to work again.
This corded vibrator seems to have a built in battery I cannot change when it dies (and it will die, like any other battery, even li-ion ones).
If I cannot easily change the battery inside this toy, suddenly it doesn’t seem a good choice, but this would also apply to the c-shaped models we mentioned earlier and most vibrators made nowadays.
Buying a toy I’ll have to replace after 3 years is a losing proposition.

I can answer this question specifically, no idea about egg vibrators in general. If it is actual silicone (and be careful, a lot of cheap Amazon sex toys are not actual silicone), then it’s non-porous and body-safe. In terms of pathogenic safety, any silicone toy can be used both vaginally and anally, and shouldn’t grow bacteria/mould/etc inside it. Toys made specifically for anal will be made of harder silicone to make sure it can penetrate, and you probably know this but should have a flared base for anal. But some toys designed for vaginas also satisfy those qualities.
Actual silicone can be safely boiled. I boil my dildos to disinfect them (after washing with soap and water first). I use gentle pH-neutral soap so as to not damage the toys.
