High court’s order comes after appeals court rejected Trump administration’s request to block November benefits

The supreme court has issued an emergency order temporarily blocking full Snap food aid payments.

The high court’s order came after the Trump administration asked a federal appeals court on Friday to block a judge’s order that it distribute November’s full monthly food stamp benefits amid a US federal government shutdown.

After that request to block was denied, the Trump administration turned to the supreme court in a further attempt to block the order to fully fund Snap food aid payments.

The application to stay reads: “If forced to transfer funds to Snap to make full November allotments, there is no means for the government to recoup those expenditures – which is quintessential irreparable harm. Once those payments are made, there is every indication that the States will promptly disburse them. And once disbursed, the government will be un-able to recover any funds. Worse, these harms will only compound if the decision below stands.

    Want some more hope? What are the Generals thinking?

    After the Generals were all summoned to a Come To Jesus meeting led by UberPutz Pistol Pete Hegseth, EVERY report said that they were beyond offended, beyond pissed off. They were treated like children, and they are massively pissed off about it. They HATE these guys.

    The lawyers are banding together to fight back, instead of slinking away in humiliation, as they were supposed to do. Surely the ignominiously fired Generals will react differently, and after a lifetime of service to this country, they’ll just retire quietly, and just stand by and watch as their beloved country goes the Nazis that they spent their lives fighting, right? Does that sound like a General?

    MAGA is stupid enough to believe that. We know what the fired lawyers are doing, but Generals aren’t exactly known for revealing their plans in advance. I doubt they are sipping mai tais on the veranda in their retirement. At least a some of them are in contact with their old colleagues, and planning for…something.

    Whatever it is, I doubt it’s going to be good for MAGA.

      I will always accept more hope. These are really strong points.

      There are probably numerous similar bands of scorned professionals working together after being burned by Trump.

        Yeah, I think when it kicks off, MAGA is going to be VERY surprised at the ferocious opposition they will encounter.

        I have closely followed the rise of the Conservative Propaganda Machine since Rush Limbaugh got on the air in the late 80s, and one thing that has remained consistent is their total belief that the MAJORITY of American citizens are on their side, and most of those that aren’t, are just brainwashed by the liberal media, and will come over to their side when they see the light.

        They cannot fathom that they are a minority in this nation, and are only in power because of nefarious cheating strategies, and not a true choice of the voters. Furthermore, a vast majority of their followers, those who aren’t in it for the corruption, are incredibly stupid AND ignorant, and in a real uprising, they will be useless.

        Look what happened on Jan 6, they came prepared for war, and it was a circus. They have no discipline, and no consistent goals. Everybody wants their own agenda, whether it’s Corruption, or hatred, or murder, etc., they are all pulling in different directions, right down to the lowest level street MAGA.

        At the same time, the strongest faction of the Democrats, the Progressives know exactly what they want, and their goals are clear. They have a much better chance of organizing a resistance that can counter the MAGA chaos, which is overwhelming America at this very moment.

        Fear is the key to defeating them. Conservatives are notorious cowards, it is literally their core foundation. They are afraid of EVERYTHING - Liberals, minorities, other religions, women, women’s genitalia, poor people, education, intelligence, Critical Thinking, Merit based advancement, DEO, CRT, Democracy, etc. They choose their leaders out of fear. They will take a treasonous pedophile mobster monster who promises to protect them, over a reasonable candidate who want to teach them to stand for themselves.

        If we want our elected politicians to reject MAGA, and defend our Democracy, and answer to the people, we have to make them fear the WRATH OF THE PEOPLE more than they fear MAGA.

        So how do we do that? Right now, MAGA only has power because the former Republicans (the MAGA larval stage), feared that if they didn’t appease MAGA, they’d all end up losing their jobs/ power/ insider trading. That, and fear that their corruption will be made public, and send them to prison, keeps them under control.

        So we have to frighten them with something much worse than their mere jobs. They have to fear for their lives, and the lives of their families. They have to know that if our Democracy falls they will WISH that they had the protection of a prison cell. Because if they try to end our Democracy, we will end THEM, and their families, and take every penny of their precious stolen wealth.

        THAT’S what they need to fear.
