Top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer offered a new plan to Republicans that would allow the U.S. government to reopen after a shutdown that began on Oct. 1.

But Republicans quickly dismissed Schumer’s proposal, which hinges on protecting enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies for at least one year.

Schumer’s proposal calls for Democrats to agree to pass a so-called clean resolution that would provide short-term funding for government operations.

Isn’t there someone running, who if wins, will vote against releasing the pedo files? I can’t recall his name, but perhaps that’s what the r’s are waiting for?

Someone won a seat in AZ awhile ago but Mike Johnson won’t seat them because they are the last signature needed to release the files.

Which is why Johnson wants to keep it shutdown

Oh I’m sorry. I just reread your comment and, yeah, I misread it completely.

Looks like TN has a special election coming up. That’s likely to be a R seat. No idea how that effects the Epstein Files, but you’re probably right and they’ll use that to weasel out of it.
