I can stop throwing clothes on the floor of my room, that doesn’t magically make the existing clothes disappear.

This is asinine. It’s not either or.
There’s a difference between stopping contributing to a problem, and fixing the problem.
I can stop throwing clothes on the floor of my room, that doesn’t magically make the existing clothes disappear.
Despite all appearances to the contrary, this is supposed to be funny.
