Imo you can’t call yourself pro-life and be against a fair social system (at the very least regarding medical fees). Loosing your mother at age 6 becausee insulin costs 400$ a vial is not being protected, neither is dying from cancer at age 12 because the insurance won’t pay for your treatment.

For righties, protecting children stops at birth because at no point whatsoever are they ever about protecting children. A fetus is neither a person nor a child, nor does it exhibit any hallmarks of consciousness. It is simply a medical condition, so it’s a convenient thing to champion imaginary “unborn children” because real children - real living, breathing people - have actual material needs. Fighting for the living means doing things other than treating vulnerable people horribly, and that is, at the start and end of the day, the only thing those sadists desire.
