I think they were trying to be helpful, it’s likely not something worth being upset over.
I read it, but since people in this thread seem confused when this happened i felt it might helpful to add anymore: she is not in the present, but was in the past.

I assume she was when this was written or this is referring to her in that time period?
I think it’s safe to assume that it was written during the period that she was.
