It’s also the cheapest vehicle they sell due to an emission standards loophole.

I think it’s more because of the margin, say manuf a car for 30k and sell it 32k, compared to manuf a truck for 40k and sell it 60k+…

I live in a suburbia and there is a couple of lifted F250 trucks that are only used to go to Costco, which haven’t tow anything (no hitch anyway), and never saw a grain of dust anyway.

          :-(

        The specs are amazing!

Although the price varies based on individual customer specifications, each 797 costs approximately US$5,000,000.Other prices have been listed at US$3,400,000.

If I could buy one, I wouldn’t be commuting.

People vastly over estimate the danger of riding a bike. It’s comparable in lethality to getting on a highway in your car, slightly less lethal in most places, but slightly more dangerous for non lethal injuries, iirc.

So sick of these big Utes here in Australia.

Never seen a dirty dodge ram ever, and only ever saw one towing anything remotely big. And they’re constantly parking illegally or getting in the way because parking here isn’t designed for them.

Here in Australia, they should be recategorized as heavy vehicles and require a truck license.

And the drivers spend their time trolling on the Internet talking nonsense about EVs generally too

I fucking love this meme. It places more fault on the salesman than the buyer, which is an important aspect to why we’re in this situation. The illusion of choice while manufacturers, and therefore dealers, try and get us all to buy the same thing.

For an average commuter car maybe. Trucks like this are built for towing and have a shit-ton of torque. Which is really good for fast acceleration, not so much for top speed though.

So I own a 350, I do need it for work though lol, I haul things on an almost daily basis. Anyways, these trucks are usually governed at 96mph. It’s diesel so I get pretty good mileage on the highway, 400+ mi per tank. I do have to fill up about once a week though. Driving cross country, AZ-AL, I only had to fill up 4x.

      Yes both should be regulated.

That said, Google and Meta don’t have any desire to geopolitically cripple the US so there is a difference between the two depending on your region.

Google and Meta might not be dangerous for USA, sure. But you know there are other countries in the world, right? Remember when Snowden presented proof that big tech companies were being used to spy federal governments in South America? Maybe you don’t care about that, but people who live outside of USA sure do.

The CCP is and has always been worse. This hasn’t ever been a feasible debate, just whataboutism.

How is it worse? Real question. I’m not American, by the way.

If you’re an American citizen you should never willingly compromise yourself to a foreign entity, let alone an adversary.

While my own Government and its Corporations do spy on me, I know that I’m not in danger of losing my life or livelihood because I’m not a threat to either of them, and there’s basic rule of law to protect me.

With the CCP, if I as an American have any value to them that can be used to destabilize my own Country or to increase China’s hegemony they could use me to their own purposes and I and my country could very much be in danger.

I hope any kid or teen who uses Tiktok doesn’t desire power or politics one day, because there’s a significant chance those very personal things you recorded could potentially be used against you to the benefit of the CCP in the future.

Sure, that all kinda makes sense if only care about USA. Snowden presented proof that Meta and Google were being used to spy governments in South America(if don’t believe me, just Google it) . What are your thoughts about that?
