    The conclusion in the report was that “Government intervention would be premature at this time” - the reports words, not mine.

    I can’t really see why she would have been fired for that report. The quoted copyright law expert also disagrees that she was fired over it:

    Copyright law expert Meredith Rose questioned the link, calling the report “113 pages of ‘well, it depends!’” and adding that “people who find that offensive enough to call for her ouster would have to be utter lunatics—on EITHER side of this fight.”

      One side is talking about suspending habeas corpus while flagrantly violating other parts of the Constitution while destroying relations with allies and favoring totalitarian dictators. Would not be a leap to call such megalomaniacs “lunatics”.
