Doesn’t NY not even have the death penalty?? And over a grievance killing? Theres absolutely no way they get a death penalty verdict. If they force a death penalty on him there will be actual riots. They didn’t even give the Buffalo mass shooting perp a death penalty. He murdered 10 black people in a supermarket in a targeted mass shooting based on hate and he gets to rot in a cell the rest of his life. This is an outrage, a complete mockery of justice.

This is how you can tell he wanted to make a statement, he went after a Rich. If he was just looking to murder without it being a big deal he could have just killed a few dozen school children.

A penalty phase will drag out the trial. If NYC was smart, they’d give him a sweetheart plea just to get this man out of the news cycle.

When have the right wing moron billionaires who run wallstreet, circularly own all the media outlets and have their grubby hands up the ass of every politician whos (elected) allowed to serve, ever decided to do what’s smart? They usually let things reach critical mass before allowing any half assed attempt to solve even part of the issue.

No they are trying to make an example of him, but just like most aspects of life they are hilariously out of touch with reality

Seems like a stretch to file a federal murder charge when it was really only the stalking that can be argued as “cross state”. Isn’t federal murder charge usually reserved for serial killers or killers that transport the body across state lines?
