  • I watched it. Felt nothing.

I’ve been hyper-aware of the possibility of a school shooting since I was in grade school. I’ve watched Palestinians be murdered for over ten years. I’ve watched poor young Russian idiots and Ukrainian soldiers blown apart for the past three years. And I just saw one of the biggest cheerleaders of all that in the States killed.

“Sick reality” has nothing on it. A piece of shit who advocated for and contributed to the shittiest of shitty policy in the US, which has led to the deaths of numerous other people, was killed, and by one of the shitty policies he himself advocated (political violence or gun proliferation, as you prefer).

This isn’t even getting into the ‘less’ severe domestic dangers he was part of pushing forward - the concentration camps for immigrants, the rampant dehumanization of LGBTQ folk, the stripping of medical assistance to the filthy poors who are too sick to be worth keeping alive.

    Fuck him.

  • The violence wasn’t exclusively from anarchist groups, but in anarchist-dominated areas, the anarchists committed the same kinds of violence that other leftists did.

This isn’t to say that the anarchists were not the best of the lot, by far. Only that the notion that anarchists don’t engage in unjustified mass violence against political enemies because of the sheer purity of their convictions doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

  • Again, what would that look like? You’re all saying this quips without saying what you mean.

“A riot is a good thing, violence and destruction and all, if it expresses unheard concerns in a way that makes the powerful take note.”

“Why don’t you say what you REALLY mean!?”

    ???

If a person looked sideways at the white house or any other branch who isn’t on trump’s side, they would get gunned down in a second.

… the post is about ongoing riots in Nepal, which have damaged a billionaire politician’s house. Not the ultra-secured official residence of the head of state.
