They aren’t disputing the information presented. Simply the context of associating it with an image of stalin. Sort of sane washing him. It’s definitely bad that the United States does this. But it’s also definitely bad that it keeps getting reposted in this sort of context as a propaganda tool.

Two things can be bad. Why couldn’t meme just ask what country does this? Then end with “the United states”. I’d argue it would be just as impactful. Without having to downplay the horrors of another group.

  • Politics isn’t a 1 dimensional spectrum. Even 2 dimensions can still be inadequate. Though it is a much better fit. Suficed to say the X axis is generally going to be economic orientation. And the Y axis social orientation. Economic being socialist to capitalist. Social being authoritarian to libertarian. But even then, going to far along social spectrum one direction makes the distinction of capitalism or socialism moot. Authoritarians will use whatever gives them power. They aren’t specifically FOR either. The further you go towards libertarianism however, the less and less feasible something like capitalism gets.

  • And there you go again deflecting. It was always going to be either a democrat or a republican that won. We would have had far more impact trying to negotiate with the Democrat than a Republican. Yes both candidates were bad. But one would have definitely been better. The one so many hyper focused on attacking. While not attacking the other in the slightest.

My position looks as good as it ever did. I was right before. I was right during the election. And I’ve been right since the election. All people like you can do is silently downvote pyrrhicly. Or delusionally you create scenarios in which there’s a magical world in which I was wrong.

  • If all you read is propaganda you might think that. But that isn’t the case. It all started when imperialist Britain stole a large tract of land from the people living in Palestine to give it to people who had never lived there. And to add insult to injury. The newcomers sought to exclude the people who had always lived there. And turn them into second-class citizens in their own home. Causing them to rightfully Rebel.

Israel has always blamed and othered the victim rather than doing the bare minimum to make things right. Ironic seeing what many Jews went through. Though most of the people responsible for founding the ethnostate of Israel didn’t go through the Holocaust themselves.
