Tom’s Diner by: Suzanne Vega was the first MP3 song.
The acapella version, not the bangin’ Pop dance version.
I have the theory that MP3 played a part in the death of rock music and the rise of hip hop.
Guitars and cymbals sound awful when compressed to 128kbps, as it was common in the early days of Gnutella and Napster.
Music with vocals and beats sounds much better at those compression rates.
interesting theory. i’m afraid we’ll never find out if it’s true
Dude, hopping on college wifi and stealing classmates music from iTunes shares was hilarious back then. my campus got sued over limewire BS and students would keep ignoring it and downloading, then get pissy when legal had them banned from campus wifi. The rest of us just abused fucking iTunes shares, lol.
Nice……but the whole thing is written like an AI did it. I hate the way they phrase everything like Billy Mays “but wait there’s more!”
Yeah. Although, I must add:
^Billy Mays was tha goat. ToT^
It is most likely written by an AI
