I’d hope the heat you’re getting is because it’s mostly

    1. Americans that can’t comprehend that a steering wheel may be on the right (and as such your move is to inconvenience someone that has inconvenienced you).
    2. ICE drivers that don’t understand that sometimes EV chargers are broken such that you need to park that tight to access the working charger (or trickle charging due to another vehicle using it, very much like the flow of petrol also slows).

We’re 100% behind this action when a EV charger is “ICEd” as it is getting alot less frequent so the education is clearly working

If there are no consequences for your actions, you may see no reason to change your behavior. This person got a consequence and may change their behavior for the better in the future, making society better for all of us.

Lessons need to be taught, OP is using assholery for good. If i had an electric car id do the same

This is equivalent to an electric car parking at a gas pump because there’s no law saying an electric car can’t

Ive park right behind an ICE vehicle and pulled the charging cable to my car. I didnt even need the charge. Just wanted to keep them from leaving until I was done.

I will be petty to punish others if need be.

When I notice someone being an asshole because another person was an asshole first, I just see two assholes. From the third person perspective, their motives don’t matter a ton.

I measure my response to other people’s careless behavior against my own values, and the fact that I have a family and shit to lose in the event the first person decides to escalate.

Hell yes I get taken advantage of all the time. And what do I do about it? Usually nothing. I carry great privilege in this life, including race, gender, physical stature, nationality, geography, wealth, among others. I know the advantage I have over others well outweighs any advantage taken over me.

Now that I’ve answered your questions, answer mine: Do you think that in your life you won’t be taken advantage of? Do you think that someone parking over the line is taking advantage of you personally? Do you seek revenge and retribution for every slight against you?

              I couldn’t give a fuck about myself.

It isn’t retribution for myself but for all people this and similar fools may take attempt to advantage of. I’ll insert myself into their insanity in order to correct their behaviour, so the next person doesn’t have to deal with it. I love real, actual justice. Not just talking about it and ending up with Trump.

I have been in physical fights before, over someone throwing cigarette butts on the ground. I’ve dragged men away from women that are being harassed. I have escalated situations to points you would hate, simply because I find the instigators behaviour disgusting and in dire need of correction. If you want to accept terrible behaviour, be my guest, I, however, will not. I’m intolerant towards intolerance and I’m too busy correcting fuckwits to argue philosophy with people on a much higher horse.

Enjoy riding your privilege and just forget about those that don’t have it, sounds relaxing. I’ll continue to live by a consistent set of morals, and people around me can suffer the consequences.

I’m confused. Is he the asshole the one that parked a gas car in an electric charging spot or the asshole who parked in two spots. Congratulations on your dual douche awards.

The cars are right-hand drive, possibly located in Tasmania. So OP is the electric car owner that parked very close to block the gas car owner from entering his car through the normal driver-side door.

        That just seems petty.

In the other hand I started a free trial of “Full Self Driving (Supervised)” because some jackass parked me in like this, so I had my Tesla drive itself out. It was in a normal parking space though

Everyone is so sad lmao, as soon as they moved I fixed my park. They were in the last working charging bay (I know it’s plugged in, but it wouldn’t start charging), how else to make the cable reach ;-)?
