hi, does the microsd adaptor work only to import photos/videos to iphone, from the sd card or can you export photos/files from iphone to microsd card?

If you are talking about their USB-C sd card adapter, or any usb micros card adapter. Then the answer is: it treats it like a USB drive.
Plug it in and you’ll see it in files. Need to export a photo or video, share the photo and save it to files. You’ll be able to put it on the SD card.
