Woodie Guthrie is the best. I can’t count how many times I’ve listened to him and been completely pumped and emotionally uplifted.

I saw the Dropkick Murphy’s covers live for his album, acoustic live hits different. Definitely recommend.

The Dropkick Murphys put out two albums recently in his memory/spirit. Okemah Rising and This Machine Still Kills Fascists. They are both excellent. Their newest album is also awesome and a more classic DKM style.

I came here to give the same suggestion! DKM for life! They gave a couple really great live shows and showcased the music from both albums really well. This is all from the blessing of the Guthrie estate too, you can feel they loved doing this and have always had a blue collar working mans attitude.

Fuck yeah he did, even wrote a song about it.

This is one reason why we need a Guthrie revival. He bashed Trump’s father Fred Trump in a song. We need to bring it back and update it for the son.

Woody started the lyrics for us, but he never recorded it:

      I suppose
      Old Man Trump knows
      Just how much
      Racial hate
      He stirred up
In the bloodpot of human hearts
      When he drawed
      That color line
      Here at his
      Beach Haven family project

Edit to add: whatever the song becomes, it should mention protecting pedophiles.
