It’s not just a crop, it’s had the cigarette removed. The cigarette with the ash he’s about to have to move his hand to knock off into the ashtray there. Giving the shot a positively Hitchcockian level of suspense.

My buddy (now married to a woman) has this on his basement wall for ages. It was the hangout spot for all our friends. So, it’s oddly nostalgic. Although it’s probably only been 2-3 years since he had people over there.
In fairness he had a bunch of great classic heavy metal posters and albums, including a poster of Iron Maiden with Bruce in his undies.

A friend saved a flyer from her high school days that was this entire image of Burt nude from Cosmo, hand-traced onto the middle of the flyer with Burt’s arm replaced with a sizeable dick hanging out there taking a nap on his thigh. Then totally unrelated “King Kong with Slint - Dave’s Bar 1234 Fourth Street, Friday 10:00pm” or whatever text around the drawing. It was just messy enough of a tracing/drawing that it wasn’t immediately recognizable, but when you looked for more than 2 seconds it was like “oh - OH. OK, uh, wow.”
I always wanted to recreate this photo, print It on a huge format and just have it hanging on my wall. Or use as a Tinder profile picture.
