Toronto’s speed camera program is under renewed scrutiny as vandalism and political backlash mount, but road safety experts say the evidence is clear: automated speed enforcement works.
It really isn’t that hard not to speed. I’ve gotten a ticket or two and I take it as an indication to do better in the future. You said there was a speed limit sign you ignored. It is your responsibility as the operator of a deadly machine to not ignore it. It really is that simple. Just do better.
I didn’t ignore it, fuckhead. I literally was going under what I assumed the limit to be, and in the left lane on that road at night the sign can be easily missed as there’s only one for many kilometers of road, a road that, as I said, gives absolutely zero indication whatsoever that anything would be changing.
