An old-timey duel to the death would be the logical solution to this problem

The one time I would not be in favor of due process would be if Trump sent him to El Salvador. A side effect could be that Musk’s lawyers might even be able to fix due process for everyone. If not, he rots in a foreign prison. I see no downside.

We already have the precedent (see Andry José Hernández Romero, for example). Someone with power might be able to reverse it.

Deport Elon to El Salvador. Then let DOGE defund the prison program accidentally, because they don’t understand why the El Salvadorian prison system is subsidized by the US.

A split between the regular fascists and neo-reactionaries could provide an opportunity to overthrow the Trump regime.

They’ve been planning this shit since Goldwater, they’ve got contingency plans, that’s how we got here. They’re prepared to lose, that’s why they stacked the decks with heritage foundation plants from the top to the bottom of the system, we’ve already lost and if Elon and Donald get the fuck out of their way then they’ve got it made. I hate to say it, but keeping these idiots where they are is our best bet at pulling through this without having to start a war.

Well, we need to purge every person associated with the Heritage Foundation after the revolution.

That should definitely be an active part of the revolution, don’t give them a chance to apologize or pretend to reform or understand, kill them in their moment of tyranny and nobody will mourn them. We can’t have some bullshit ideological version of Anastasia happening to undo everything.

While cruel and evil, I have to agree with this position regarding neoconfederates. America has suffered a great deal of malice and corruption from allowing the original Confederates to retake root in the south after Reconstruction was shuttered. This can’t be allowed again.

The tree of liberty needs to be watered and given manure. The likes of Thiel, Trump, Majory, Musk, Yarvin, and others would finally serve a useful purpose.

It is neither cruel nor evil to remove cruelty and evil from the world. To kill that which intends to kill all is merely establishing a will to live.

For me, it is important to not completely dehumanize members of the neoconfederates. They must be thoroughly extinguished, but reason and limits must be remembered, else the good guys will become rotten in turn. We mustn’t feel good from hurting people, or it will become an addiction.

Not sure which is which though. There are some suggestions that the Plutocrats like Musk, Thiel and others basically want feudal thiefdoms where they can use workers and people and do whatever they please. Bannon afaik is a statist. Trump doesn’t really believe in anything, and wouldn’t care if he’s President, Chairman or Emperor.

Indeed. We should not align with either side and instead take advantage of the regular chaos. Much harder to crush discent when there is infighting in the ruling class.

If the Trump administration spends a lot of resources trying to suppress the billionaires, that would lead to fewer resources available to suppress the general population.

On the other hand, if the billionaires coup the White House, they would show the US government to be weak to a coup/revolution while simultaneously losing the support of the MAGA crowd. To amplify the latter, we should make sure to spread on social media how JD Vance was chosen by Musk and other billionaires so as to undermine JD Vance’s support among the Republican base should the billionaires replace Trump with him.

One good thing to come out of this is if trump cancels Musk’s new billions in government contracts that were the main reason Musk bought trump in the first place. 🤞

I think there has been a shift in power. A couple months ago Trump was 100% Musk’s bitch. Fuck, his kid told Trump to shut up and that he “wasn’t the president”. Musk definitely had something on Trump. The Epstein files would definitely fit the bill.

I’m having a hard time believing anybody would be dumb enough to not have a backup, but this is Musk. He’s out of his fucking gourd half the time.

I’d counter that decimating all the departments actively investigating his interests was his primary motivation and the contracts were just a little extra self dealing on top…

Though it would be great fun to watch him exit now going full self righteous on the way out, only to have his companies bankrupted once the new gov contracts are cancelled, because he’d destroyed all their other income sources during his crusade to save himself.

Hopefully all those people who voted for Trump (because he’s a ‘leader’) and Musk (‘because he’s a great business man’) are starting to realize they cast their vote for a couple of petulant children who have acquired great wealth because their daddies gave them a few hundred million in starting money.

For many of then, if they were capable of looking at the world and drawing good conclusions, they wouldn’t be conservative to begin with.

I wouldn’t say it’s hopeless, but something as basic as “facts” and “evidence” isn’t going to be enough to reach someone who’s a fragile, terrified, ego wrapped in a thick blanket of emotions and lies.

Usually when things fly off the rails cuz the writers already did everything they wanted but now have to keep the story going in the name of profit
