Summary

The Trump administration appointed 22-year-old Thomas Fugate, one year out of college and with no apparent national security expertise, as interim head of DHS’s Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3), raising alarm among experts.

CP3, once focused on preventing extremism and violence, has seen deep staff cuts and a shift in priorities toward immigration.

Fugate, a loyal Trump campaigner, replaces Army veteran Bill Braniff. Critics call his appointment symbolic of political cronyism and institutional erosion.

Amid rising extremist attacks, DHS proposes ending CP3’s $18M grant program, despite official claims prevention work continues.

a former Trump campaign worker who interned at the hard-right Heritage Foundation

So he’s just a vessel for Project25 to get it’s gnarled fingers in.

That is what they always do. They complain about something the left does. Then when they do it they use the left as the example.

I have one very simple question:

    Who … are … his … parents?

Based on his LinkedIn, and what appeared in the story, I’m not sure what sets him apart from thousands of other wannabe MAGA assholes.

Which triggers my spideysense. Well that and the arrogant fucking faces he’s putting out into the interwebs like he’s Don Juan De La Nooch.

My guess is he’s probably a nepo-baby and his folks are either influential or made a ‘donation’ to get him appointed.

    To quote Ocean’s Eleven:

“Never heard of him.” “That’s why I don’t doubt it.”

I wonder if any of these kids are getting paid enough, and smart enough, to be saving money to flee the US within a few years, if a mood swing makes things go bad for them.

        Gotchu

He has 15 total “experiences” (i.e. jobs/internships), all of which are either normal jobs a kid might have or interning in state government/working with trumps campaign for a couple months at a time, all of which you might expect of a kid who wants to get into law/politics. He started work 5 years ago mowing his neighbors’ lawns. Completely unremarkable. Education is a BA in “politics and law” from UT San Antonio and he did a summer “economics program” at George Mason.

Oh and his time working at the grocery store overlaps with his internships with politicians. So he either lied about the length of his employment, wasn’t doing full-time internships, or wasn’t working a significant number of part-time hours at the grocery store.

That sounds like a euphemism for something as well. “Don’t mind him - He’s a bit cross-functional ifyouknowwhatImean.”

Hey, it’s me. Cool Nazi Thomas Fugate. I’m here to turn all vaginas in a fifty mile radius into the Sahara.

Happy to use ‘Fugate’ as a euphemism for that. “That dude fugated me so bad my pubes caught fire when I walked.”
