She/Her
I’m done with mindfulness and drinking water. I just want bad things to happen to bad people in power.

It does do that. I was thinning a little on top before I started and now I’ve got luscious locks!

I was really surprised when I saw that flairs weren’t widely adopted yet. They’re super useful for community filtering.

Oh gosh! Last time (above picture) was fine, zero burns. This week was different, haha. I sure learned my lesson. Definitely wearing sunscreen to the next protest.

ATProto is what Bluesky is built on, right? How does it differ from Activity Pub? Are there difficulties with bridging the two protocols?

Would you mind elaborating on the Peertube instance? How does it integrate/what benefits are there to integration?

I could have sworn I watched a video by FediHost about that, but I either can’t find it or it never existed in the first place. I have seen some places move to Mastodon, so I edited my initial comment to be more accurate to my current info. Sorry!

How disappointing. Expected, but still. We ban all sorts of other harmful medical or practices, but this gets a pass because the stranglehold religion still has on the US.
My heart breaks the kids who will experience abuse because of this.

Good. I’m curious to see where they land. Most likely Bluesky, but I’ve heard of some local governments moving to Fediverse instances, whether they’re Mastodon or local.
Heck yeah! I’ve been trying to actively make the switch too. Getting away from big-tech algorithmically-driven social media platforms feels very nice. I do miss a few of the communities I was a part of that don’t have a counterpart here, but I’ll get used to it eventually.
The community here is much nicer than reddit currently is. It feels more tight-knit. Almost like reddit was twelve or thirteen years ago.
I’d like there to be a balance. The memes are a good way to get more eyes in the community initially, but I’d like to slowly switch over to focus more on music as the community grows. Right now, I’ve got a featured song of the day, we just finished making an introductory folk punk playlist, and we’re getting started on a deep cuts list.
