Have you read UNSONG? I’d guess so, with that name, but if not, you should. I think you’d like it.

White house paint still had lead in it in Australia, just at much lower levels than before the ban
Oh, absolutely. I just worry that American authorities won’t see it that way.
Your ethical choice to not just steal it is the only thing stopping you.
Is this about his mental health, or just about his shit working conditions?
Sounds like a risky move
That’s probably substantially due to the fact that it’s also extremely easy to get nearly everywhere via public transport and a few minutes walking… I’d guess car ownership is pretty low…
Heh, I posted a basically identical timeline in reply to another comment above.
I’ve been using it full time for 21 years, and dual boot for years before that. Early on it definitely took up a bit of time, but that’s mostly because I was interested in breaking things and learning to fix them. Even 10-15 years ago I don’t think I would have spent more than a few hours a month fixing things. These days it’s a few hours a year, and that’s only when I start messing around with something in a careless way.
I think this one is more subliminal than the others… Usually they’re just trying to deflect and distract and using accusations to do it… This time he’s legitimately annoyed and just being honest.
Not that there’s much practical difference…
What… Did it say? Who was it trying to convince?
And/or (i suspect this is more likely) it will threaten to do so, and mastodon.social/.online will update their TOS to fix the problem identified in the bug report. Either way it’s a win for federation, in that migration is relatively painless for the user…
I’m also really appreciating the speed and depth of the response to this from the community (e.g. all the comments on the bug report). It’s cool to see!
edit: Also, Eugene’s response is reasonable and levelheaded - seems like there will be some TOS improvements eventually.
Where’s the original?
Yeah, good point. I agree that calling-in is better than calling-out, when it seems viable. There’s always the trade-off with how much energy you have available though.
Yes. My point is that everyone is on the spectrum, and a purely rational mode of decision-making does not exist in humans. Every decision has emotional components.
I never said that decisions are purely emotional.
Ah, ignoring evidence because it doesn’t support your pre-existing views. Text-book case of confirmation bias 😊
Yes, but they are inextricably influencing each other. Both are subsets of reality.
What is the value of tolerating trolls?
Guess we know where you sit on the Trolley Problem spectrum :P
Presumably it is not very agiel though, so you could just climb over it?
