    I’m afraid it is genocide Jill, and your husband throwing in a few snacks after 6 months of throwing in bunker busters via the Israeli army isn’t going to change that.

    The president has been dogged by pro-Palestinian protesters at his public events for months, with his team now taking steps to shield him from the public shaming over his handling of the Israel-Hamas war. Biden has had to switch to smaller events, the locations of which are kept hushed until the last possible moment to evade protesters

    Love to see the direct addition but JFC Biden will do anything to avoid ending aid to genocide and anything to avoid representing voters’ stances. “Oh while trying to secure the election I’ll just have smaller unannounced rallies instead of pulling my head out of my ass”

      If he doesn’t see them they aren’t real and the problem is solved. He’s surrounded by senior advisors and what not that think this will just go away. It’s maddening that they not only support the genocide but seem to be surprised that anyone would criticize them for it.

      The depth of Democratic Party anger over President Joe Biden’s handling of the Gaza war has caught his campaign off guard and could depress support in November’s election, according to Reuters interviews with more than a dozen senior party and campaign officials and five dozen voters and activists.

      The White House had expected Democratic unrest over Gaza to fade as Biden picked up his campaigning against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, the officials said.

      Perhaps maybe some miniscule start might help, like not veto’ing simple UN resolutions from other countries that say “genocide is bad, mmmkay?”.

    This is the best summary I could come up with:

    TUCSON, Ariz. — First lady Jill Biden spoke for only 14 minutes on the second leg of her “Women for Biden-Harris” tour — but that didn’t stop pro-Palestinian protesters from interrupting her remarks four separate times.

    “It’s a genocide, Jill!” yelled one of the four demonstrators in Tucson on Saturday morning as he was being forcibly escorted out of the venue by security.

    The main focus of the first lady’s remarks was supposed to be on women’s issues, including abortion rights, which could be on the ballot in Arizona come November.

    “Extremist Republicans led by Donald Trump are passing laws that prevent women from getting the health care they need, including IVF,” said Biden.

    And polling shows young voters are particularly discontented with the way her husband, President Joe Biden, has handled the war.

    The White House has announced the upcoming states where the first lady’s Women for Biden-Harris tour will be going, but it hasn’t yet publicly disclosed specific locations.

    The original article contains 444 words, the summary contains 161 words. Saved 64%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

    It’s sad that the pro Palestine left doesn’t understand what genocide is, seems like they’re on a mission to make the term meaningless, making its misuse their call to action.

      according to Article 2 of the UN’s Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide

      In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

      Killing members of the group;
      Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
      Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
      Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
      Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

      how the actual fuck, after all these months, can anyone say that is not what is happening??

        Hamas is not a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, and that is who Israel says they intend to destroy.

          this is just asinine, the genocide is blatantly and obviously against the Palestinian people
          also, you don’t need to upvote your own comments, other people will do that if you say something worth reading

            No it obviously isn’t. The deaths of Palestinian civilians are collateral damage, while Israel’s tolerance for collateral damage has gone up the intent is not to destroy them. They have been very clear about intent: to destroy Hamas and get the hostages back, to achieve meaningful safety for Israel. If Hamas surrendered the war would end, because that is who this war is on.

            If they wanted to destroy Palestinian civilians I suspect they could make all of Gaza into a crater in an afternoon. Why don’t they? Because Israel is not genocidal, no matter how often you repeat the mantra.

            I’ll upvote what I please.

      It’s a shame you don’t know what genocide is. Maybe we could do more to prevent it if people weren’t deliberately ignoring it.

        I do know what genocide is, and this isn’t it. See the other comment in this thread.
