Ukrainian military intelligence says a seven-week special operation in the Sumy region stopped a Russian offensive, cleared 642 hectares of contested forest, and left Russian commanders believing for another two weeks that positions already lost to Ukraine were still under their control.
The operation, codenamed “Cheburechna,” was carried out by Group 10 of the Active Operations Department of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR) on November 5.
Are Russian communications really that bad that they weren’t aware of lost territory?
And rest in peace “Yuki,” “Travka,” “Syoma,” and “Bas.”
I think it’s more complex than that. Keeping in mind all the spies that they have and they have visibility on the ukr central war maps.
Let’s say you don’t see any movement from the Intel from your spies. Your front line commanders are saying they are slowly progressing (which means stuck). What information do you have that indicates you have lost a zone?
Counter Intel worked amazing here.
