Well, no. But various LLM providers probably has a very detailed model of what some of my friends think of me.
That might have been a problem, but fortunately I only have a few. And if I find any of them to be habitual LLM users, I’ll have even fewer.
Silver linings, people!
That was to be expected when people started calling for regulation of chatbots when people started committing suicide and the chatbots co-signed the action. Because these things only do two things. Spy on you/collect your data, and provide predictive text.
And none of what you enter into an LLM is private, as many scientists and mathematicians have learned of late.
Do not use LLM’s for anything you don’t want to become public information.
We’ve got faculty using LLMs and I keep telling people it’s a fucking violation of FERPA and our contract language but higher admin love the slop, so nothing’s getting done to.fix or stop this shit where I work.
That just blows my mind, TBH.
So many high profile stories lately about probable stolen research via LLM.
I am sure this information will be treated with the upmost respect.
Not on me it doesn’t.
That must be very boring for chatgpt, there isn’t a lot going on in the minds of its users.
It isn’t human. It doesn’t get bored. It just does what it’s told.
