Benjamin Netanyahu has compared Zohran Mamdani, New York’s socialist mayor, to Iran’s supreme leader on a campaign billboard.
The poster in central Tel Aviv, paid for by the Israeli prime minister’s Right-wing, nationalist Likud Party, placed Mr Mamdani alongside the leaders of Iran, Hezbollah and Turkey.
“They want Netanyahu to lose,” it reads above the faces of Mojtaba Khamenei, Mr Mamdani, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Naim Qassem. “Don’t let them win,” it adds in Hebrew.
Why is this news. Who gives a fuck what a war criminal has to say about a US mayor on a billboard in his apartheid nation.
