In all sincerity, I would’ve never guessed it was a nazi tattoo. I didn’t even know about the totenkopf until the Platner headlines started. It really did look like a generic skull tattoo to me . Maybe that speaks to history illiteracy in the US, but it’s pretty damn plausible he had no clue imo. The fact that he immediately got it covered is also strong argument for it.
