The ATF has slowly been redefining who can own a gun and the government is starting to pull the rug. They’ve also proposed requiring you to put your birth assigned sex on the paperwork, so if you are trans and have ids matching your gender you’ll be required to lie on the form to buy your guns.

The fact that they’re taking these steps prove to me that they think armed leftists and minorities are genuinely the only thing that can stop them now. I sense the US entering the cool zone

I’m not as much of a gun proponent on individual ownership grounds but this clearly seems like the well regulated militia as a bulwark against tyranny that the founders were talking about.

Anyone got info on the Jan 31 incident that is the origin of this? I couldn’t find anything, just an earlier shouting match between the cops and Lions.

Typically, open carry is legal in all of Pennsylvania except Philadelphia, where you need a carry license to open carry. Usually the Philly-only gun laws get overturned rather quickly, but this seems to have remained in place for 20 years with few legal challenges.

Dunno why the ATF was brought into the original comments, as this seems to be a city and/or state issue. Feds don’t look to be involved here.

As a 2A supporter living in a far left state I am constantly reminded, “The people voted for these officials who made these laws.”

You only really get to vote for whoever is running. I mean you can often write in a vote, but you’re not going to elect a write-in.
