    1B = 1,000 homes = 4,000 people housed

    50B = 50,000 homes = 200,000 people housed

    20week of this * 200,000 people a week that could be housed = 4,000,000 people that could have be housed

      Not to undermine your point, but single family homes are the most inefficient way to house people. They contribute to urban sprawl, consume more energy, and are overall bad for the environment. Cooperatively owned apartments, rowhouses, and other medium/high density housing would house far more people for the same amount of money while reducing climate impact and incentivizing walkable communities

        I agree with you completely and would just add that the last I read, there are more empty residences than there are homeless. Only developers think building more is the answer.

        I find a billion to be too hard to conceptualize, but the amount becomes more salient when stated in houses. Too bad I can’t just circle on a map $1,000,000,000 worth of property for a better understanding of the total amount.

        Not to undermine your point either, but there are autistic people who don’t want or can’t have neighbors. There are very real and valid reasons for single family homes to exist. They don’t even need yards - just have a foot or two buffer between walls, as long as they arent touching.

          This is true, and also a small subset of humans.

          There are multiple ways to build high density that don’t require dealing with neighbours, or sharing walls, in those rare situations. Or life outside the city centre might be smarter.

          You don’t have to be autistic to want to avoid neighbour-noise, and not all autistic folk are hermits. I know a cohouse with 50 residents, a notable number of which are autistic (lots of tech professionals), and they codesigned the building and systems for both privacy and conviviality.

          I personally have a ton of yard space, but our rural neighborhood is full of neighbour issues, from noise to roaming livestock or pollution.

    They should cut taxes on billionaires to recoup that.

    If just a few more billionaires paid less tax it would all be solved.

    The pedofile class wants to tank the economy. Recessions are opportunities for the pedofile class to transfer all the wealth to themselves.
