    I think that our numbers would look pretty good. There’s just the Muslim knife attack at the supermarket a few years ago and the occasional case of an Asian killing another Asian and stuffing the body into a suitcase. On the other hand, every few months in the UK or Europe somebody is stabbed by an immigrant or ran over in an ISIS inspired vehicle attack. In New Zealand we don’t seem to have these issues. I’m more worried about being killed by a drunk driver.

    Trump’s reaction to this shooting is understandable. The American wars have an unusual feature - we bomb people and make them hate us, and then we invite them to live with us in our countries. This is obviously a huge mistake. These Afghans work for the CIA and special forces then massacre their ‘employers’ at the least predictable moment. A common feature of the occupation which is often forgotten.
