+1 for MoCA, for a while I had to have my server in my room because I didn’t have anywhere else with Ethernet, it got so damn hot in here and it was louuud. But I finally learned about moca, ordered an adapter for it and moved the server to the basement. It has worked perfectly so far. The only issue I’ve had is that one time, it started having like 50% package loss, resetting the adapter fixed it though

That’s… not what this is. Who is “they” in this scenario? There’s no government that’s looking at these values. It’s simply a way for any app you’re running to get your DoB without a prompt to track you better.

When the time comes, I’ll make a script/systemd service that will periodically change the DoB field to a random value, so it’s effectively useless as it changes every few hours/minutes/(whatever I decide). If there’s enough interest, I’ll share it with everyone else on piefed/lemmy

I have metube configured to download into a directory that jellyfin watches as a library, organized in folders by the channel name and then prefixed with the publish date. It works so insanely well and it makes it so easy to watch videos with friends.
