“This savage terrorist deserves the harshest lawful punishment for his 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood,” Hegseth told several media outlets, including The Hill, at the time. “The victims and survivors deserve justice without delays.”
Because the prisoner is Muslim. They don’t refer to white supremacist mass shooters as ‘savage terrorists’.

Clearly with the help of Crooked Hillary. /s

Dumping CBS (and now CNN) also means not linking to their articles, something that some users don’t seem to view as being problematic.
Unless a line is drawn in the sand as to which news sources are objective and which are not, partisan influences—such as the leadership of Skydance—will inevitably introduce bias. Media companies seeking to maximize their profits means that this bias typically favors right-wing interests.

Better to link to the original article.
Edit: Without using the original URL, there’s no way of knowing if an MSN article is from a reputable source such as the Associated Press or from a right-wing source such as the Daily Wire before clicking on it.

Funny how the New York Post only mentions transgender people when they have something negative to say.
Just another instance of the far-right trying to create a perception that transgender people are mentally ill and disproportionately violent.

Along with CBS, CNN should no longer be a preferred source.
It’s easy to pick ABC, NBC, MS NOW, Reuters, the Associated Press, or a local outlet instead.

Ultimately, it comes down to which Christians are willing to accept that the Bible is a product of the culture of its time and which view it as infallible. Voters in the latter category—not an insignificant number in the Bible Belt—are far harder for the average Democrat to reach; the best chance of doing so is with candidates like Talarico, to whom they can perhaps relate better than a candidate like AOC.
It’s not ideal, but as long as Christianity continues to have the influence that it does in the U.S., it’s better if people in the Bible Belt were led by progressive Christians like Talarico than evangelical Christians.

“This country is in a big divide right now,” Mr. Jedlinsky lamented. “It’s, ‘You’re either with us or against us.’ You’ve got a pick a side and hate the other side.”
When one side’s baseline of reality is founded on it being acceptable to illegally overthrow foreign governments, lie about immigrants as an excuse to deport them, rewrite history through a Christian nationalist lens, take away life-preserving health care from the poor, destroy the planet through climate change, and lower taxes on billionaires, there is no room to compromise.

The New York Post is a right-wing rag.

The technology should still be improved as much as possible.

Hamilton remains the pastor for the largest UMC church (rather than Global Methodist) in the U.S.; I expect that he would have left the UMC during the schism if he were against it. This article by him seems to reflect a pro-LGBTQ position.

I would think that Trump—unpopular enough as it is—visiting battleground states to discuss contentious issues would not be something that helps the electability of Republican candidates.

I just don’t share them. My point was more to highlight the rarity of Talarico in blending his Christian faith with his politics in a manner that results in a liberal rather than Christian nationalist platform.
Mainline denominations are the most liberal, and are thus the most likely source for Christians running as Democrats. Talarico is a Presbyterian, while Hamilton in Kansas is a Methodist; both denominations are now LGBTQ-affirming.

In an ideal society, democratic socialists would be able to win across the country. Given how much of the South is indoctrinated into basing the laws of modern society around a misguided interpretation of a two-thousand year-old book, finding Christian candidates who don’t interpret the Bible through a Christian nationalist mindset is probably the most effective way to get such voters to support moderate Democrat-aligned policies, let alone progressive ones.

While I might not agree with Talarico’s religious views, he’s the only Christian politician I’ve ever seen that actually acts in a manner consistent with them.

Usually ratings systems are merely in place to restrict who can buy certain games, not who can play them after they’re purchased.

The problem is if Alito retires between the election and Republican senators being replaced on January 3, the Senate would rush to confirm his replacement to prevent the potential blocking of Trump’s nominated candidate.

Justice is dead when lobbying on behalf of a foreign government is punished (not that it shouldn’t be punished in some manner) worse than those responsible for illegally overthrowing that government.
Most of Congress is paid or otherwise rewarded for legislating in favor of Israel, but they aren’t sent to prison for ten years.
The U.S. doesn’t need more hybrids, it needs electric cars that cut out oil dependency and a corresponding increase in renewable energy production.
