Whenever I hear news of China, they built a new electric railway, invented something new, or made massive tech progress.

A lot of things in China fall apart in a few years. You can build things fast when you don’t care about people’s rights and just force them off whatever land you need, and make people work insane hours. A lot of the amazing things China brags about is a Potemkin village, just made to show the authoritarian leaders they did got the project complete on time and they in turn use it in their propaganda. Authoritarians always love to brag about making the trains run on time, right? The reality is often different from what the media portrays it to be in an authoritarian country.

But still, China is slightly preferable to the US at the moment.

Eh if you’re a peasant and stay at home you might be conscripted to fight for your lord against the people lord the next county over just because they have a disagreement or maybe because they’re bored or whatever. Probably gonna die a gruesome death either way. Going on a pilgrimage you at least see some of the world before you meet your gruesome death.

The US always wins the invasion but pretty much always loses the occupation.

Air power isn’t how you win, because it’s hard to hide a jet fighter. Assault rifles, RPGs, IEDs and a willingness to fight longer than they’re willing to is what’s needed to win the occupation.

Americans forget that Canadians served in Afghanistan. But I don’t. I know someone who diffused IEDs over there, pretty sure he knows how to build them if needed.

That would be a violation of the Ottawa treaty.

And landmines don’t actually stop an army, they just slow it down and inhibit maneuver.

The supplementary reserve of 300,000 citizen soldiers that’s being planned is a better idea. There would be no stopping a US invasion, but 300,000 resistance fighters ensures the US would lose the occupation, as it usually does.

Russia is engaged in a sabotage campaign in Europe, so the reasons for blocking Russians from Europe is similar.

Voting is an action people can do. Once people are able to do some form of action, they could be encouraged to further action. Americans are currently below the bar of even voting. You think they’re going to do more than voting if they can’t even do that?

Y’all are so much in love with the romanticized myth of the American revolution you believe that if you write some pretty words about freedom and equality there will be another “clean revolution” that will solve all of your problems. The reality is that your “founding fathers” were slave masters, their pretty words were hypocrisy meant to fool regular people into fighting and dying so that the wealthy slave masters could get wealthier by killing the indigenous people living to the west and taking their land. People were tortured for any dissent, there were massive numbers of refugees from the US during the revolution because of how oppressive the government was.

All of your rights actually came from voting, not from the bullshit fairy tale about “founding fathers” they indoctrinated you into believing from a very young age.

France, UK and most of Europe are part of NATO and in recent days have sent small military forces to Greenland to show that, unlike the US, they will honour their alliances.

Trump is trying to break NATO because it’s what daddy Putin wants him to do.

It’s not even former allies. Denmark is a current ally according to treaties that are signed into US law. Sure the US is effectively no longer part of NATO but all of the official reasons for invading Greenland could be accomplished by Trump admitting some agreements made by past Presidents were actually good.

This is all because one deranged old child molester wants to put his name on the map and a whole bunch of people are too gutless to admit that’s what’s going on.
