My household makes 120k and I have free childcare with family. I have no idea what I would do if I had to pay for childcare.

The turnout has a lot to do with our horrible labor laws and the absolute farce that is local media. There is never any communication or outreach by anyone to spread the word on local elections. It’s not that people don’t want to vote, it’s simply we don’t know when. If you aren’t constantly googling when your elections are we have no idea what is going on so it’s easy to see how people on the fence just don’t even bother.

Amazon, in many cases, is not the seller. They are simply an online market. The reason you see the same products across multiple websites is because it is the same product. Doesn’t really have anything to do with shitty products although that’s what a lot of people do. They take advantage of Amazon’s monopoly on the market and sell products for hundreds if not thousands of dollars % mark ups. The reason it’s still cheaper on Amazon is because of the aforementioned price fixing.

You don’t understand basic economics. You are poor and blame everyone else and want others to needlessly suffer. There are several 100k homeowners in NYC that will have their mortgages raised by 9% and will be forced to sell their homes and displace their families. Rich people do not pay these taxes. They write them off under business expenses because all their homes are under LLC.

These types of taxes disproportionately hurt middle class. It’s doesn’t hurt lower class because y’all don’t own homes anyway but it increases the threshold for the buy-in so that some of yall can start building wealth with your first home but you ask for property tax increases so it keeps you poor. But ya blame the middle class some more.
