Trade war with Canada has contributed to a significant decline in U.S. liquor sales

Jim Beam, owned by Suntory Global Spirits, is one of Kentucky’s biggest bourbon producers.

Kentucky went for tRump by 64.47%. Guess they’re getting what they voted for.

And of course the apologists will come out of the woodwork to admonish people who have nothing to do with the state of things while simultaneously having nothing to say to the ones actually responsible. How nice.

Or you could say 37% of Kentucky voted for Trump, and this small town of 478 people will likely all be forced to move and sell their homes for pennies on the dollar, to someone who will sell them back to others in a year at full price with insider information on whether they will actually reopen and offer jobs.

Else the town is dead and everyone suffers and we are celebrating people being fucked over while we think we are better than them for what? Because we are just shit people as well

It’s not celebrating people getting fucked over. It’s celebrating them facing consequences for their short-sighted actions that they took to fuck over “the right people”. I think it’s good for people to face learnable moments. Sure, it sucks that these people are losing their jobs, but it’s good that the ones who voted for it might come out as better people.

Trump’s only platform was hate, plain and simple. Queer people, immigrants, Muslims, black people, Latinos, disabled folks… There really was no other impetus. We saw him fuck everything up the first time and his fans still needed to ensure that someone else “got theirs.”

They voted for it and we are all suffering the consequences. Your horse is a bit too high.

we are celebrating people being fucked over while we think we are better than them for what?

We celebrate them being fucked over because they are evil. We celebrate them being fucked over because they are suffering the consequences of what they want to and are foisting on others. We are celebrating because we are miserable, but at least they’re getting it too, if not worse. We may have to eat a shit sandwich because of how much they wanted to inflict evil upon the vulnerable and minorities, but at least they’re in the pot boiling with us. Basically, crab mentality. If we’re lucky, maybe they’ll die off first and in a greater percentage.

i love seeing starving children of evil people. Evil children who deserve it because of their evil parents. I’m sorry, very few winners but the rich here. The people who work these are poor people.

Most sane people don’t celebrate darwinism either, but here we are. People don’t usually see a gazelle baby being ripped in half by a lion and say “We celebrate this!” No, most normal, well-adjusted people to society see that and understand there’s nothing they can do about it and move on. Celebrating darwinism is weird.

Nobody likes watching the sausage get made, but they still enjoy it. Darwininism is the same: ugly to watch play out, but beautiful in its product.

Right, watching children suffer because of their parent’s actions is a beautiful product. Sane, well-adjusted people say this daily. Musk was right: Empathy, even that modicum amount for babies being eaten by the leopards their parents voted for, apparently is out of fashion.

If the price to pay to watch republicans die is watching the babies of republicans die, then that is a price normal society will gladly pay.

The working poor are literally slaves. The working poor absolutely vote republican. I choose to personally empathize with the children of slaves who love being slaves. Those kids are set up for a life of misery and have very few options in front of them to get them out. Very few people, as we see in this thread, will root for those kids to succeed in life. No one is trying to help those kids have a good life, not even their parents. Certainly not the strangers around them, who would sooner grab a chair and popcorn when they see the leopard approaching the kid, instead of lending a helping hand.

I agree, lets celebrate the leopards getting their faces eaten off. The leopard is actually just another human being who is really rich and owns the means to do the face eating.

When they share in the suffering they were inflicting on others, yes. It isn’t like them suffering is going to cause additional suffering of innocent people.

Maybe their kids will learn and end up making better choices.

You completey misinterpreted my post. I am saying that it is the leopards who we should celebrate getting their faces eaten off. The leopards are the rich and powerful. You are a human being who celebrates the people in poverty, wage slaves, who work these distilleries, and the children of these wage slaves getting their faces eaten by the rich and powerful. You might even celebrate that proudly. I am saying maybe consider celebrating the rich and powerful getting their faces eaten off.

I agree, the suffering of the children of wage slaves may create good humans. Or maybe their lives are set up to continue worshipping their paycheck provided by their wage lords and renting the home provided by their land lords.

We should celebrate the suffering of the people who voted for the leopards too. They chose the leopards who bragged about eating faces.

The fact that you can think that, and not acknowledge that there is any possibility that you are a shit person, guarentees you are the shit person you have described. You don’t care about the people, you want to kill, demean, punch down at those you think are less than you. You are a perfect candidate for the GOP. That which you say you hate, you are representing.

punch down at those you think are less than you

It isn’t punching down. It’s using force to defend others. They are punching down. They are using systemic power to punch down. I advocate defending others. ICE is the prime example, and I really hope they start suffering harsher consequences of their evil.

It’s not a matter of me thinking these people are less than me or others like me. They are lesser. It’s not a matter of opinion. They aren’t human, but they’re the same group.
