J.D. Vance’s lead in the polls could be collapsing because of his association with Trump, according to an expert

J.D. Vance’s chances of becoming the GOP nominee for president in 2028 have taken a dive, according to a new poll.

The survey looking at potential successors to Donald Trump has seen the vice-president’s lead in a list of theoretical candidates narrow significantly in recent months.

And in the most recent poll in November, the Vance’s margin continued to fall. According to the survey of 439 voters conducted between November 17 and 24, Vance’s lead over Trump Jr had plummeted to just 10 points. The latest results put Vance at 34% and Trump Jr at 24%.

Trump’s polling figures have collapsed in recent months, with every major poll giving Trump a negative rating for the first time ever.

Even a Fox News poll suggested that 61% of respondents think that Trump’s administration has damaged the economy, with just 3% approving of his economic strategy.

Don Jr. is in second place!? That would be awesome if he got the nomination. He’s such a coked up clown, the American public would never vote for… such a… you know what, never mind.

I cannot imagine that being seen as the weird puppet of the even weirder puppetmaster Thiel is doing him any favors, either.

I mean, Thiel and his weird associations - the freaks writing The Sovereign Individual, Curtis Yarvin, and Elon himself…blech. I think about the only people getting excited about any of those freaks and their ideas for how WE should live OUR fucking lives would be either the most idiotic of incel morons and centimillionaires and billionaires.

The Democratic Party needs to bring back calling these people weird again. I mean, all the time, too. Orchestrated. Like they started to do for like a minute before someone clearly had them dial it back.

Because these people are fucking weird. Sure, the right tries to constantly cast anyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh as some blue-haired trans person with face piercings and by that coding, way outside the mainstream. But anyone that is a billionaire is by definition someone that is wildly out of step with the everyday person. People like Mikey Johnson that have some weird porn pact with their son are deeply weird. People that follow the likes of Curtis Yarvin telling the elites that we need to get over things like democracy are extremely weird freaks, and people should point and laugh at this kind of thing.

But definitely point it out all the time…don’t pretend any of this shit is the least bit respectable.

Calling them weird? No they need to be tried for sedition and racketeering and be fined the sum of their wealth to fix the damage they’ve done to our country.

Vance’s lead over Trump Jr had plummeted

    What! Seriously?
Those are what GOP is currently considering the best 2 options?

USA is a joke, and unfortunately a very bad one.

The last name trump on the ticket will trick a significant number of people into thinking they got their 3rd term wish.

I bet even Hillary could win over one of those two, not that I’m challenging her to try, I hope next if there even is an election, the Democrats will run with someone inspiring and progressive.
But who am I kidding, from the looks of it, the chances of that are near non existent.

My hopes were very low a few months ago, but right now, the tides are turning and I think his time may have come. If the entire party isn’t with him in lockstep, his efforts to remain as king will not succeed.

If he wants to ever be president, he needs to either invoke the 25th amendment or get on board with impeachment.

I dreamed that trump was impeached again and this time the Senate voted 50-50. Couch fucker was the tie-breaking vote, and he voted to convict, effectively electing himself president.

It’s disheartening that this wasn’t a good dream, but it was still too good to realistically hope for.

The House needs over 50% to impeach. The Senate needs 2/3 or 67 vote to convict so there wouldn’t be a situation where a tiebreaker comes into play.

It is nice to dream though…

Impeachment will never happen. The guy in question is a convicted felon. What is impeachment going to do that it failed to do the other times he’s been impeached?

Well, Vance was right about one thing. And I suspect most of Lemmy agrees, since no one posted about it yesterday, and we’re not supposed to agree with anything fascists say.

He said no one really likes turkey, no one cares about cooking turkey except on Thanksgiving because it’s expected of them. For poultry, chicken is superior.

Couldn’t agree more. I think it’s high time we stop doing things simply because they’re expected, if we don’t actually like them.

My family doesn’t do a whole turkey. We do a turkey breast, but we also do ham and barbecue. People have a choice. The best of the turkey, plus pork. We even had pot roast yesterday, so beef as well.

Um, lots of people like turkey and eat it all the time. You don’t have to cook an entire turkey just like you don’t have to cook a whole cow if you like beef. You can buy small amounts at the store or deli. The reason so many people cook a whole turkey at Thanksgiving is because they are feeding a large group of people. … I can’t believe I’m actually sitting here typing an explanation of this.

Bruh why are you acting like anyone is forcing you to eat anything for Thanksgiving? Eat whatever you want, and we will eat whatever we want, no matter what you and your bud JD think about it.

I’m disagreeing because people eat Turkey all of the time. Most people don’t do a whole bird bc it’s too much. But pound for pound, that’s a lot of protein for the price so it’s better than beef, chicken, etc.

Also, someone has to make a whole Turkey so people can put that shit on sandwiches every day.

Also, I just think your disrespect for dark meat is unforgivable.

Turkey vs. chicken? Kinda mid, really.

My family is vegetarian, so we definitely know about what “expectations” are when it comes to something like Thanksgiving, LOL.

When it comes to “JD” “Vance”'s observation about turkey vs. chicken (turkey is dry AF and most people tend not to really go for it all that often?), I guess I’ve heard wags saying that nearly all my life, so kudos for his bravery on that.

I’d be more impressed if I were to see a prominent Republican go vegan or vegetarian and do it openly. I suspect most of them are so locked up in their delusional protein and/or masculinity myths that they’d never do it. They are too afraid of what other men might think of them, or what their base would think of them.
