I don’t get why you got downvoted for this. When I see a trans-looking or tomboish female-assigned-at-birth person, who in their most comfortable looks does not want to look like a girl and trying their best not to look as one, then it’d be bigoted of me to assume they identify as a woman or address them with “she”.

Similary if I saw a trans-looking male-assigned-at-birth person with makeup and girl clothes for example, it’d be bigoted of me to assume that they identify as a man or would want me to be address them with “he”.

In fact when nessecary and when it’s almost obvious, I respectfully take the chance and call them “mam, and she” and they apprecaite it with a smile of approval and a happy-pitched voice in return because I repect people however they wish to identify themselves.

I want to know the viewpoints of someone who downvoted you.
