I hear the argument that people hate pigeons with a passion due to things like disease, but I don’t give a fuck. It’s not like they asked for it and it’s not like they’re aware of it. They’re just hanging out being birds. Let them be!
Beautiful birds with an incredible history, heartbreaking how they were completely abandoned when faster communication was invented
Exactly.
They’re my favorite birds, personally. I’ve never quite experienced a calm like when feeding a bunch of pigeons in the middle of a city and they were just grateful, content, and friendly.
Plus the way they bob their heads when they walk is cute lol.
Given the fact that they mainly were a food source instead of noble mail carriers, perhaps having been abandoned in reality has not been that bad a fate…
So that’s why they live on the street, I see.
Due to AI this might be our fate soon. Let’s see who feeds us bread crumbles and who doesn’t
The birds are in misery. I don’t think they sing, they just screetch in pain.
Nikola?
Truly, if you’re feeling miserable and even suicidal - I know this sounds cliche, but please try going for a walk outside, ideally in a wooded area.
I understand this sounds like “touch grass”, but seriously, try it out.
Squab!
Happy about airborne rats?
Seriously?Rats > pigeons (unironically)
So you believe state propaganda that birds aren’t spying drones but in fact rats (which are mammals btw)?
Seriously?Well, more metaphorically and limited to densely populated areas. I mean, rural pigeons are great!
But their city dwelling cousins are mostly poor beasts, malnutritioned, disease plaqued, often invalid: half blind, missing leg, barely enough feathers to fly even short distances.
On top of that a public health issue. So the rat comparison mostly holds, I am afraid…And if we are talking about other birds than pigeons - totally different topic!

Bird watching goes both ways🤪
Make fun of me, stay in the matrix. I don’t care. One day you will wake up and think of me but than it’s too late.
Boooooo they are FAR cooler and majestic than rodents
So the more a shame that most times we leave them to their grim fate in the urban hell we brought them to with us!
